Exelon, Pepco sign deal with D.C.-area counties to boost merger

Exelon Corp. and Pepco Holdings Inc. announced a settlement agreement with two Washington, D.C.-area counties and several interest groups Tuesday, making a major move as the energy giants continue to push for Maryland regulators to approve their $6.8 billion acquisition deal.
