The Financial Times said that liquids, i.e. oil and condensed gas, have been discovered at the $700 million Universitetskaya-1 well, though it also cited sources saying the results were not definitive and would require another round of exploratory drilling. But with sanctions prohibiting cooperation with Russian oil companies in the Arctic, Exxon won't be able to take those next steps, the FT noted.
