Exxon shareholders reject climate change, emission controls

Exxon Mobil Corp. shareholders followed CEO Rex Tillerson 's lead by rejecting climate change resolutions that included putting a global warming expert on the board of directors, the Associated Press reported. The initiatives are being driven by activists who want Irving-based Exxon to diversify with renewable energy sources rather than focusing on oil and gas.
