FAA Proposes $204,050 Civil Penalty Against Sierra Academy of Aeronautics

FAA is proposing $204,050 civil penalty against Sierra Academy of Aeronautics of Atwater, CA for allegedly operating 9 Cessna 152 airplanes for total of 358 flights when they were not in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations. Allegedly, Sierra mechanics failed to inspect planes' seat locking pins according to requirements of an Airworthiness Directive (AD).
