FAA announced that Ukraine complies with international safety standards set by International Civil Aviation Organization, based on results of July FAA review of Ukraine's civil aviation authority. Ukraine is now upgraded to Category 1 from the Category 2 safety rating the country received in June 2005. With the International Aviation Safety Assessment Category 1 rating, Ukraine’s air carriers can add flights and service to the United States and carry the code of U.S. carriers.
