FAA proposes $55,000 civil penalty against MayaAir, LLC of Telluride, CO, for allegedly conducting commercial operations with an unauthorized aircraft. FAA alleges that between July 28 and August 3, 2014, MayaAir flew a Beechjet 400A on 5 flights when its operating specifications did not authorize use of that aircraft for commercial operations. FAA alleges that paying passengers were aboard each of the flights, which took place in Colorado, Ohio, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
