FAA reminds owners to register their drone.

Federal law requires drones weighing more than 0.55 lb but less than 55 lb that are flown outdoors for hobby or recreation to be registered by Friday, February 19, 2016. Once registration process is complete, owner will receive certificate and FAA registration number which must be marked on all unmanned aircraft that meet registration weight requirement. Failure to register with FAA could result in civil penalty up to $27,500, criminal fine up to $250,000, and/or imprisonment for up to 3 years.
