FCC proposes record fine of USD 225 mln against robocallers

(Telecompaper) The US Federal Communications Commission has proposed a USD 225 million fine against Texas-based health insurance telemarketers for making around 1 billion illegally spoofed robocalls. This is the largest fine in the FCC's 86-year history and was followed by seven state attorneys general filing lawsuits in Texas against the same offender.
