Suited for high-speed networking, Model FMC109 features quad SFP/SFP+ transceivers for 10 GbE in copper or fiber formats. Mezzanine module has 4 re-timers on board which provide tuning for Tx and Rx signals. Re-timer ICs provide input equalization, clock and data recovery, and output de-emphasis. This also allows for use of longer copper cables as distortion is cleaned across farther distances.
