FTC commissioners call for strong encryption, push back against FBI, NSA

While some governments and law enforcement officials have called for an end to strong encryption (or the insertion of mandatory backdoors, which is basically the same thing), it's worth remembering that the view isn't universal. Two FTC commissioners have spoken out in praise for strong encryption and the right to secure your own data.
