(Telecompaper) Facebook has agreed to acquire Microsoft's Atlas Advertiser Suite for an undisclosed amount. Atlas provides campaign management and measurement services for marketers and agencies. Facebook's director of monetisation product marketing, Brian Boland writes in a blog post that the Atlas service provides a holistic view of campaign performance, which is has been missing until now as marketers and agencies are forced to adopt siloed marketing strategies for each channel. He added that many marketers that advertise on Facebook using Atlas will see no change to the service they receive today. Facebook will continue to invest and innovate in the Atlas platform, including scaling its back-end measurement systems and enhancing its suite of advertiser tools on desktop and mobile. Atlas will continue to operate from Seattle.
