Without requiring any specialist training, Latchways Personal Rescue Device (PRD) with 3M Elavation Harness enables unassisted, gentle self-rescue. Backpack is activated by pulling cord. In event of fall, 3M Elavation harness suspends wearer, while Latchways PRD, which can extend up to 65 ft, allows for steady descent to ground via braking mechanism. If wearer cannot initiate self-rescue, device can be activated by another person via built-in secondary release mechanism.
