Fieldbus Foundation announced first public release of FDI Cooperation, LLC's Field Device Integration (FDI) specification as well as demo of FDI developer toolkits. Both will make it possible for automation suppliers to prepare for developing products and host systems compatible with FDI, which will be included in emerging standard IEC 62769. Demo of developer tools was based on protocol-independent FDI Common Host Components.
