On Thursday night, RISI reported that WestRock was indefinitely idling two of its containerboard machines , with possibly more to come. As a result of these reported actions, investors bid up the shares on Friday of the North American containerboard producers, with International Paper up 5.2%, WRK up 6.2%, Packaging Corp. of America up 7.2%, and KapStone up 11.4%, compared to the flat S&P 500.
