U.S. EPA finalized first WaterSense specification for a commercial kitchen product: pre-rinse spray valves. These kind of valves, which remove excess food waste from dishes prior to dishwashing, are now eligible to earn WaterSense label and help food service establishments conserve water and energy. WaterSense labeled pre-rinse spray valves will be promoted by ENERGY STAR® program as part of energy saving products and practices for restaurant industry.
