Automakers have changed the way theyve sold new vehicles to fleets quite a bit in the past three-to-five years, and the process has really matured considerably, according to Alec Gutierrez, senior analyst at Kelley Blue Book. That becomes even more important now that so many vehicles are leaving dealer lots as leased units now. General Motors, has reported that 20% of its January sales were in fleet, down from what it called its typical range of 22% to 24%.
