JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks You will be part of our flight dynamics team at ESOC, full of talent and desire to innovate, where you will support ESA in the area of flight dynamics operations, including Orbit determination, prediction and products generation operations Command generation operations Software maintenance of elements of the ESA Flight Dynamics Application Layer Software development of the ESA Flight Dynamics System. Qualifications MSc in any related discipline Required knowledge Linear algebra, in particular for problem solving related to geometry in the Euclidean 3 dimensional space. Calculus in one or several variables. Numerical methods for equations solving, integration of differential equations, function approximation and interpolation, optimisation, linear algebra problems. Classical mechanics, including kinematics and dynamics of point masses, dynamics of rigid body, dynamics expressed in noninertial frames, conservation laws in mechanics, gravitational forces and field, Orbit dynamics, keplerian orbits and Kepler laws. Ability to define, implement, validate and operate software which applies the above skills using e.g. Linux scripting languages, Fortran 90 and C WHAT DO WE OFFER?
