Flight engineering technical manager Responsibilities In the flight engineering department, your task will include coordination of all the technical activities throughout the life cycle of equipment. You will be expected to provide the design team and the project manager with technical support. supervision of a flight equipment definition and design team in close cooperation with a project leader and a product line manager and with the support of experts. Main activities Managing all the technical aspects of projects from bid to customer supply Participating in the implementation of the development plan and assessment of the risks Specifying the technical resources to be deployed during the development of the equipment Delegating the draft and design validation activities to the technical team guaranteeing design quality in cooperation with the experts and guaranteeing deadlines with the project leader Guaranteeing the design Secondary activities Analysing the electrical specifications and systems Defining the architecture and dividing it into elementary functions Carrying out a comparative study of solutions according to the optimum needscost ratio Validation of the wiring diagrams and their behaviour on the simulator Confirming validation on models, where appropriate Supervising the test technicians Analysis and critical review of the worstcase operation of circuits Worst Case Analysis, MonteCarlo Analysis and critical review of failure modes, their effects and their criticity Analysis and critical review of the component constraints Part Stress Analysis Writing reports and miscellaneous descriptive documents in English Writing test specifications in English Monitoring the industrialisation of circuit boards and of the equipment Profile Electronics engineer with good knowledge of the design of switching energy converters Proficiency in discrete design techniques transistor level Proficiency in the different topologies of converters and sizing of converters Proficiency in the analysis of loops, stability, rejection, regulation, performance, etc. Proficiency in EMC aspects Proficiency in the analysis of design robustness, worstcase scenarios and component constraints Basic knowledge of the analysis of failure modes Preferably with knowledge of MicroCap 7 and SimetrixSimplist simulators Good experience of the functioning of an electronics laboratory Autonomy, selfdiscipline and inventiveness customerorientedness Good communication skills Good awareness of the different aspects of planning and cost optimisation Good command of the English language written and spoken Preferably with experience in the field of space or aeronautics If you are interested, please send your application to Mrs Jolle Luyckx by email joelle.luyckxexternal.thalesaleniaspace.com Tel. 07144.28.18 Rue Chapelle Beaussart, 101 6032 MontSurMarchienne www.thalesgroup.comcareers
