As announced by AASHTO, AAA, and U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) earned Grand Prize and People's Choice awards in 2015 America's Transportation Awards competition. Judges selected FDOT's $670 million Port of Miami Tunnel project to receive Grand Prize, while FDOT's $1.2 billion I-595 Corridor Improvements Project earned 56,000+ online votes to earn People's Choice Award. Cash prizes go to support charity or transportation-related scholarship programs.
