Food Emporium is closing two Manhattan locations

Two of the chain's 13 stores across the city are closing within the next several months, and industry sources told Crain's that others are also likely to shutter. In early December, the Food Emporium at 1211 Madison Avenue and East 87th Street will be replaced by a Morton Williams store, according to a Morton Williams executive.
