By analyzing chemical residues on fingerprints taken from suspect or from latent prints left at crime scenes, Fingerprint Molecular Identification™ technology can reveal suspect's gender; use of tobacco, medicines, and illicit drugs; and exposure to explosives. Solution uses surface-engineered, silica-based SupraNano™ powders to capture chemical residues on fingerprints and mass spectrometry to analyze residues.
