Former Chiquita CEO gets $16.2M in severance

Ed Lonergan arrived in Charlotte in October 2012 after a struggling Chiquita dismissed Fernando Aguirre, which had moved the company to Charlotte. Former Chiquita Brands International Inc. CEO Ed Lonergan got $16.2 million when the Charlotte banana company was sold in January.
