Former valley real estate agent looks to fill rental-housing need

The town of Woodstock is considering a proposal from a former valley resident to develop new apartments from unused residential lots. Joel Soorenko, a retired real estate agent and construction contractor living in southern Florida, wants to build new apartment buildings in vacant, already developed residential lots in the Village Commons development along Lora Drive.
