BusinessGreen: The ozone layer over Antarctica is being attacked by four previously unidentified man-made gases, scientists from the University of East Anglia (UAE) have warned.
New research published in Nature Geoscience yesterday found that more than 74,000 tonnes of three new chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and one new hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) have been released into the atmosphere, despite a ban on CFCs since 1989.
