Strength of steel prevents race from being molded around ball, so slight fracture allows ball to be inserted. Hardened and ground surfaces allow for full ball to race conformity, which reduces wear and localized stress while promoting smooth operation. Also available, sealed version keeps grease in and debris out. All varieties are coated for corrosion resistance.
