Alaska Weather Camera Program, completed by FAA, helps pilots determine when and where it's safe to fly. By providing pilots with near real-time, visual weather information, fully deployed program improves safety and efficiency. It includes website that enhances navigational planning on interactive map with accessible images and other weather data products. FAA's Michael Huerta cited this as "another milestone in our continuing commitment to aviation safety in Alaska."
