RHEA is currently recruiting a GDDN Telecommunication Engineer to provide engineering support to the GSA for continuing the preparation of the Galileo exploitation phases. Please note that position is based in Prague. Tasks and Activities The primary task for this position will be to contribute to a new Galileo Service Operator GSOp ITT related to the Galileo Data Dissemination Network GDDN that will be prepared over the course of 2014 and conducted in 2015. Working alongside the ITT integrated, consisting of members from ESA, the European Commission and the GSA, your envisaged tasks and activities include Evaluating current WP6 GDDN documentation and site infrastructure GCC and Remote Sites, as required Supporting the definition of the GDDN procurement strategy Contributing to the definition and development of the GSOp GDDN data package Supporting the definition of the GDDN technical and service level requirements for the GDDN, as part of the GSOp ITT Evaluating Proposals received from bidders, and contributing to the contract award decision Skills and Experience You must possess the following skills and experience A university degree in Engineering or equivalent At least 5 years of experience in communication networks and large IT distributed communication infrastructures Prior exposure to the Galileo Data Dissemination Network GDDN Fluency in English The following skills would be advantageous Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently with little to no supervision How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
