BusinessGreen: GE has revealed it invested almost $2bn last year in clean tech research and development efforts under its ecomagination initiative, as new figures showed that during 2012 the flagship program generated around $25bn in revenue for the engineering giant.
The conglomerate's latest update for its high profile environmental strategy confirms it has surpassed a goal set in 2010 to grow revenues from ecomagination offerings at twice the rate of total company revenue within five years.
