We are currently looking for a GEO Flight Dynamics Engineer to support our customer in Germany. GEO Flight Dynamics Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you will have the following responsibilities Operations of the flight dynamics systems of operational missions, including spacecraft orbit and attitude determination, events and ground station visibility predictions Monitoring, analysis and enhancements of the flight dynamics input to the processing of instrument data and products within the ground segments Planning, execution and evaluation of spacecraft manoeuvres, both for routine and contingency cases Maintenance of the propellant budgets and endoflife estimates for each of the operational spacecrafts Operations preparation activities in the area of flight dynamics and mission analysis required during the development of new programmes LEOP and commissioning operations for future launches of GEO satellites Support the procurement of the FD subsystem FDS of the Mission Operations Facility MOF for the MTG mission Testing and integration of the FDS within the MTG MOF Act as backup for the LEO Flight Dynamics routine operations for EPS. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant field Several years experience on Flight Dynamics of LEOGEO satellites Knowledge of the analytical principles for orbitattitude determination and control Flight Dynamics subsystems procurement Knowledge of the following would be an asset LEOP and commissioning operations NAPEOS based Flight Dynamics subsystems Routine and critical operations for LEO satellites Conjunction analysis systems and operations Configuration control practices for operational software Statistical and graphical analysis tools Software development and validation Matlab, Java, Orekit, Fortran, C, TCL Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
