GI's Sewer Project Goes Under Interstate to Reach Businesses

Interstate 80 traffic rolls by the Highway 281 interchange at Grand Island, and nearby crews work on connecting the hotels and gas stations there to city sewer lines. "Currently these folks have their own wastewater treatment plants, kind of package plants, so we are hooking them up to the City of Grand Island public sewer system which is in really great standing with the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality," says Tara Bevard, Project Manager for the City.
