Housed in 5 x 5 mm QFN40 package with 2 RF inputs, Venus816 supports dual passive antenna and active antenna inputs, automatic switching from passive antenna to active antenna, and active antenna short circuit protection without requiring extra external components. On-chip LNA with 20 dB gain and 0.9 dB noise figure is used with one input, offering cascaded system noise figure of 1.2 dB. Featuring 40 Hz update rate, IC works with GPS, QZSS, and SBAS signals.
