Galileo is Europes global satellite navigation system. ESYEN, as partner of Thales Alenia Space France, is currently looking for 1 System and Network Engineer to be part of the Galileo Ground Mission Segment AIV team. The position is based near Munich, Germany, at the Galileo Control Center, hosted in the DLR premises. REQUIRED SKILLS The successful candidate owns the following Academic degree in Computer Science or Engineering Experience in Integration, Verification and Validation of Ground Segments Good knowledge of Linux systems Good knowledge of Bash scripting Good knowledge on DBs and SQL query language Good Knowledge of information security Extensive experience in Networking Very good knowledge of network hardware and software Extensive knowledge and work experience in the implementation, configuration and maintenance of VLAN, VPN, Firewall, Switch, Router, NATPAT, Network traffic management, LDAP, SNMP Ability to work in a multicultural team Proficiency level in English, both written and spoken Eligible for security clearance Availability to travel within Europe DESIRABLE Experience in Satellite Navigation, Galileo project and its Ground Segment. TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES The successful candidate will carryout the system integration and verification activities of the Galileo Ground Mission Segment GMS, as detailed hereafter Be the contact point for the Galileo GMS Systems and Network related matters Be the interface point for the Galileo GMS System and Network related matters To participate to coordination and planning meetings To install and configure elements software at both system and network level To write and update integration and verification test procedures To prepare test environment installation, configuration, setup To run test procedures and produce test reportstest data To manage on site process for Non Conformances To provide Technical Support to all activities To provide technical daily support to operations To manage on site process for trouble ticketing To support on site coordination to identify and mitigate current operational issues To provide support to System Operations and second level maintenance of the GMS BENEFITS The successful candidates will be offered a permanent contract and a very competitive salary package, commensurate with skills and experience.
