We are currently looking for a Galileo Simulations Officer to support our customer in Germany. Galileo Simulations Officer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you be will working at ESAs Space Operations Centre ESOC and will be responsible for training the Mission Control Team, in preparation for the launch or other mission critical phases. Specifically, you will be responsible for Developing the training concept and the associated Simulation Plan Training delivery including simulator breakpoint preparation, testing of contingencies, writing briefing and debriefing messages, and running simulations Planning and developing failure cases of increasing difficulty to be introduced into the simulations, in order to train the Mission Control Team in nonnominal operations and application of mission rules Support the operational training of other staff, including but not limited to Ground Operations Managers and ESTRACK Control Centre ECC operators Support general training and simulation activities at ESOC. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in engineering or other relevant field Good spacecraft knowledge on a subsystem level coupled with experience in an operational environment Ability to understand and accurately predict the behaviour of complex systems Operational training and operational simulators, ideally based on SimSat Satellite control systems, ideally based on SCOS2000 Programmingscripting languages e.g. C, Java, JavaScript Operational training and instructional design methodologies Familiarity with the ESOC working environment and Quality Management System would be an asset Experience with prelaunch activities and launch campaigns would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
