Gas prices spike 69 cents in one week, but relief may be on the way

Gas prices have skyrocketed the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its largest daily increase since Oct. 5, 2012, rising 15.1 cents to $4.204, its highest amount since May 14, 2014. The price is 4.99 for regular unleaded at the Chevron Gas Station at the corner of Glenoaks Blvd. and Jackson Street on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in Anaheim, Calif.
