A gauge containing a small amount of radioactive material was stolen Tuesday from an Oklahoma City parking lot, the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality reported. The gauge, a Humboldt Scientific 5001 EZ, is used in the construction industry to measure soil density and water content, said Erin Hatfield, a spokeswoman for the department.
