Intended for demanding IR applications, TECHSPEC® Lenses are manufactured from Germanium, which offers transmission range of 2–16 µm, density of 5.33 g/cm³, and Knoop Hardness of 780. Material is inert to air, water, alkalis, and all acids, with exception of nitric acid. Available uncoated or with anti-reflection coating, lenses comes in 25 or 50 mm diameters with focal lengths from 25–100 mm. Applications include IR imaging or surveillance, remote sensing, or IR spectroscopy.
