Yale Environment 360: Renewable energy jobs by country Renewable energy jobs grew by 14 percent to 6.5 million employees worldwide last year, led by the solar panel industry, according to a new report from the International Renewable Energy Agency. Employing a total of 2.6 million workers in renewable energy jobs, China led in hiring last year, followed by Brazil and the United States.
