Global Semiconductor Industry Posts Highest-Ever Quarterly Sales

WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 -- The Semiconductor Industry Association issued the following news release: The Semiconductor Industry Association , representing U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing and design, today announced that worldwide sales of semiconductors reached $87 billion during the third quarter of 2014, an increase of 5.7 percent over the previous quarter and a jump of 8 percent compared to the third quarter of 2013. Third quarter sales outperformed the latest World Semiconductor Trade Statistics industry forecast.
