Goodyear Dunlop Tonawanda plant returning to former owner in $271M deal

Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. will reacquire the Goodyear Dunlop Tires North America Ltd. plant in Tonawanda as part of a $271 million transaction that dissolves a joint venture agreement between the entities. The deal, announced Thursday, will have Goodyear pay SRI $271 million with SRI taking full ownership of the joint venture's tire plant in Tonawanda.
