(Telecompaper) Google Fiber is adding fixed telephony to its broadband offer in the US. The Fiber Phone service costs USD 10 per month and includes unlimited calls in the US and low rates similar to Google Voice for international calls. Fiber Phone is a cloud-based system, meaning customers will be able to take their number wherever they have internet access, including a mobile phone or computer. Google said it will roll out Fiber Phone in a few areas to start and gradually expand it to all residential customers.
