(Telecompaper) Google has announced the integration of its Voice and Hangouts services in a redesigned Hangouts app for Android, iOS and the web. The new version of Hangouts (2.3) is rolling out over the next few days. Google said users simply need to install the accompanying dialler to turn on voice calls, which will be free to any number in the US and Canada, even if those receiving calls don't have Google Voice. International calls can also be placed, though rates will apply. As part of the redesign, Hangouts users will find their Google Voice transcripts and text messages included in their Hangouts listing.
