Google launches ad-supported version of Google Play Music

2015-06-24 08:45:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Google has launched a free, ad-supported version of its Google Play Music streaming service in the US a few days before Apple is due to unleash Apple Music on 30 June. Google Play Music users can search for favourite artists, albums or tracks to create their favourites station and they can browse curated stations by genre, mood, decade or activity, for example waking up happy, driving, working out, boosting your energy, unwinding and bedtime. It features a library of 30 million songs which can be listened to on any device, and users can store and play up to 50,000 tracks from their collection for free. The new ad-supported version of Google Play Music is available in the US first, on Android and iOS. The ad-free, paid version costs USD 9.99 a month after a free 30-day trial.
