Google names next Android Nougat

(Telecompaper) Google has confirmed Nougat as the name of the next version of the Android operating system. Android 7.0 has been known as Android N to date, while Google tests with developers the software before release. Google announced in May that it would take suggestions from the public for the name of the latest Android. The company announced the new name, which follows a range of sweets such as Marshmallow and KitKat, on Snapchat and Twitter. The completed version of Android Nougat is expected to be ready later this summer.
