(Telecompaper) Google reported third-quarter revenues up 12 percent year-on-year to USD 14.89 billion. Revenues from Motorola Mobility fell to USD 1.18 billion from USD 1.78 billion, while Google's own revenues were up 19 percent to USD 13.77 billion. Traffic acquisition costs totaled USD 2.97 billion, or 24 percent of advertising revenues. Operating profit rose to USD 3.44 billion from USD 2.74 billion a year earlier. Motorola contributed a loss of USD 248 million, while Google's profit rose to USD 4.64 billion from USD 3.95 billion. Net profit improved to USD 2.97 billion or USD 8.75 per share, from USD 2.18 billion or USD 6.53 per share a year ago. Operating cash flow rose to USD 5.1 billion from USD 4.0 billion a year ago, and Google spent USD 2.29 billion on capital equipment in the quarter. The company finished September with USD 56.52 billion in cash.
