US - Despite record high feed costs during the 2012/13 crop year, feed use in the animal protein sector has slipped by only two per cent as US farmers and ranchers limited the downsizing of their herds. A decline in margins has been offset to a degree by rising animal protein prices and growing exports, especially to Asia.
