Grand Rapids school board to change grant policy after concerns raised by local foundations

On Jan. 5, 2015, the Grand Rapids Board of Education will vote on changing its policy for grant applications to improve teaching and learning to allow the superintendent the authority to approve application requests greater than $100,000 without prior board approval.
