BRATTLEBORO >> Wireless Internet customers and the state of Vermont may have fallen prey to an alleged scammer who is under investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Customers in the Brattleboro region say representatives for Great Auk Wireless are not picking up the phone to field customer complaints, and the owner of the company may have fled the United States to avoid an investigation.
