Position Reference 104 You will have the opportunity to provide engineering support to ESA in Fucino, Italy. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Organize the GCSOPS coordination meetings Provide the onsite interface between the Galileo Ground Control Segment GCS Prime and the Operations Team for issues regarding access to GCS infrastructure. Provide the interface and coordinating the ESA GCS Team, ESA PA, GCS Prime and the Operations Team for the management of anomalies and changes in the GCS infrastructure. In particular this includes supporting the onsite Anomaly Review and Change Control Boards. Monitoring the GCS Prime onsite activities with respect to the agreed plans and schedules, and to report on any issues arising from lack of adequate resources. Supporting the review and monitoring of the GCS Prime plans and schedules of onsite activity and ensuring that they are compatible with Operations Team constraints, and constraints arising from the Element Procurement activities. Ensuring that the agreed training tools, courses and materials are made available to the Operations Team at the agreed dates Ensuring that the GCS Prime maintain a proper configuration control system for all onsite data, including ILS data, inventory data, SW installed and segment configuration data. Ensure that an integrated and verified subset of the GCS is successfully and timely handed over to OPS Prime Spaceopal to support each planned SVT and SCTC End to End test. Informing the GCS Technical Manager of any issues that may impact the deployment, verification or validation of any element. Informing the GCS Technical Manager of any issues that may impact the overall segment AIV strategy or planning. Participate in the testing and validation of the various infrastructure elements of the Galileo Ground Control Segment. Acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements Participation in research and development activities in the area of mission data systems. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have an University degree in a relevant engineering field, astronomy, mathematics or physics You are able to apply their knowledge to develop solutions to technical mathematical and dynamical problems in cooperation with customers and other experts You are able to define, implement, validate and operate software which applies the above solutions using e.g. Unix andor Linux scripting languages, Fortran 77 andor 95, C You are willing to take operational responsibility in multidiscipline teams You are fluent in English, both in speech and writing You have experience in coordinating and interacting with other service providers in operations and other fields You are able to work independently The following skills would be highly desirable You are familiar with the ESOC environment You have experience dealing with external interfaces You are able to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
