EUMETSAT is the European satellite agency for monitoring weather and climate. Bringing together the resources of 27 member states, we develop and operate a range of satellite systems surveying the atmosphere, land and ocean that deliver vital data 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. EUMETSAT is now embarking on a new and challenging development programme called EPSSecond Generation EPSSG, shaping the future of Europe in meteorology and climate monitoring, after the highly successful EPSMetop programme. Ground Stations and Operational Interfaces Team Leader REF. VN1323 As a member of the RealTime Services and System Operations Division of the Operations and Services to Users Department, your role will be to manage the operations of EUMETSAT ground stations and associated network infrastructure. You will also coordinate current and future operational interfaces with our external partner agencies, e.g. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NOAA and the European Space Agency ESA, as well as our service providers. To join us in this busy and challenging post, you should have a university degree in a relevant discipline together with a minimum of five years experience in routine space and ground segment operations. You should also have experience of managing and coordinating operations, as well as in system engineering and operational testing of real time systems. Furthermore, you will need experience in the provision of real time data services and endtoend services, as well as in writing user requirements for spacerelated projects. You should be fluent in English and have some knowledge of French.
