We are currently looking for a Ground System Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Ground System Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the S5P project and Earth observation mission within the Copernicus Programme, you will have the following responsibilities Support the refinement of the Ground Segment Concept in collaboration with ESOC and DLR Refinement and maintenance of the requirements for specific aspects of the Flight Operations Segment and Payload Data Ground Segment Contribute to the definition of the Spacecraft to Ground Segment interfaces and monitor their implementation and verification Coordinate the deliveries of the Level 1B and Level 2 processors to the PDGS developers and follow up corresponding integration and validation tasks Monitor the implementation of the FOS and PDGS, ensuring compatibility between the Spacecraft and the Ground Segment elements Support project reviews at satellite, GS and system levels Prepare prelaunch ground system validation activities, including generation of test plans and test data Coordinate the daytoday prelaunch validation activities, organize test reviews and generate reports Participate in the preparation and execution of inorbit system validation and verification tasks. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in Engineering or Physics Several years experience in a similar role Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
